Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD started out as Multiuser DBase II (MDB), but was renamed to AutoCAD after CompuServe started selling it, and it became available as a subscription-based service (starting at $575). In October 1991, AutoCAD was released as a public version of MDB. Its first release, AutoCAD R14, was only available on a Macintosh, but a few months later, the first version available on the PC was AutoCAD R15.

In 1995, AutoCAD 3D was released, and in 1998, AutoCAD 2000 was released, allowing the user to create 2D and 3D drawings, and the ability to view 2D and 3D drawings on a computer. In 2000, the first release of AutoCAD LT was introduced, as a low-cost alternative to AutoCAD. It was also the first version to support the Windows platform.

In 2001, the second version of AutoCAD with a Mac OS version was released, and in 2002, the first Windows version of AutoCAD with a.NET GUI was released. In 2003, AutoCAD was expanded to become available in multiple languages, and the first release of AutoCAD for Mac was introduced. In 2005, AutoCAD LT received support for.NET.

In 2007, the third version of AutoCAD was released for Windows, introducing new editing tools, a new user interface and new features such as 3D modeling. In 2009, the first version of AutoCAD for Mac was released.

In 2008, Autodesk was named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies for the seventh consecutive year. Autodesk also won the 2008 CSTAR Award for Top Engineering & Technology Company. Autodesk was also named the Most Trusted Brand in Engineering at the 2008 Campaign for Product Quality (CfPQ) awards.

North Alabama softball wins 10th regional title

Jessie DeShazier (18-4) led the Eagles with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate to go with four RBI and three runs scored.

The Stetson vs. North Alabama matchup served as a first round rematch of last year’s game in the NCAA Tournament. Stetson’s 6-5 win over the Eagles gave the Hatters a 12-3 run over the two teams, claiming North Alabama’s ninth regional title in the last 11 years.

The Eagles were down early, however, as Stetson led 2-0 in the first inning. A two-out single from Chelsea Huykel to start the inning started an inning-ending 6-4-3 double play.

Natalie Pelphrey worked a walk in the second inning and was later scored on a wild pitch by Jordan Salgerud. Her hit later scored two runs. The Blue and Gold were unable to produce any more scoring in the inning.

Jessie DeShazier (18-4) began the third inning with an infield single. Two batters later, her base hit advanced her to second base and tied the game. Her single was scored on an error by the Hatters.

Hatters head coach Jenni Krempel said she was pleased with the way her team played in a tight game.

“We just did some good things,” Krempel said. “We were able to get a nice double play in the third inning and a really good double play in the seventh inning, which is the key, with a runner on first base.”

North Alabama then took over the lead in the bottom of the third inning, as Brittany Murk (4-1) was hit by a pitch to start the inning. A sacrifice bunt by Kelsey Stanton advanced Murk to second base. With the two outs, Stanton pushed her to third base with a single to score Murk and give the Eagles a 4-2 advantage.

The Eagles added to their lead in the fourth inning, as an error by Krempel put runners on second and third base with one out. A sacrifice fly from Sara Walker loaded the bases and brought
